Effective 1 September 2026
This policy explains how David Fonje collects and uses personal information through davidfonje.com, its courses, Community, Partner Program, Masterclass registrations, orders and related services. David Fonje, based in Douala, Cameroon, is responsible for this processing.
Information we collect
- Identity and contact details, including your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number and country.
- Order, delivery and payment details, including product, amount, payment reference, payment status and physical delivery address where needed. Payment providers process your payment credentials; we do not need to store your mobile-money PIN or full card details.
- Learning and account information, including course entitlement, lesson progress, login and security records.
- Masterclass and business information you submit, such as business name, stage, revenue range, goals and attendance preference.
- Partner information, including application details, referral code, attributed paid orders, commissions, payout method and withdrawal records.
- Community information, including eligibility evidence, profile, photo, posts, comments, opportunities, membership and moderation records.
- Limited device and page-use information through Google Analytics only after you choose to allow analytics.
Why we use it
- To process orders, payments, delivery and digital access.
- To verify identity, secure accounts and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To operate courses, the Community, Partner Program and Masterclasses.
- To provide support and send service messages such as secure login links, receipts and access notices.
- To send marketing only where you have opted in, or where otherwise permitted by law. You may opt out at any time.
- To measure and improve the public website where analytics consent is given.
- To meet accounting, legal, dispute-resolution and regulatory duties.
Legal bases
Depending on the activity, we process information because it is needed to perform a contract with you, because you consented, because we must meet a legal obligation, or because we have a legitimate interest in operating and protecting the service without overriding your rights.
Service providers and transfers
We use carefully selected providers to operate the service, including Vercel for hosting, Fapshi for payments, Brevo for email, Supabase for Community data, Google Sheets and Apps Script for operational records, Bunny Stream for protected course video delivery, and Google Analytics after consent. Some providers may process information outside Cameroon. We use contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the service and applicable law.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as necessary for the purpose collected and any legal, accounting or dispute period. Order, payment, commission and accounting records may be retained for the period required by law. Account and course-entitlement records may remain while access is active. Masterclass and marketing leads are removed or anonymised after they are no longer needed, or when you validly object, subject to legal exceptions. Short-lived login links expire automatically.
Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, signed and expiring login links, secure cookies, rate limits and restricted administrative access. No system is completely risk-free. Please use a private device for secure login links and notify us promptly if you suspect misuse.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your information, withdraw consent, or request a portable copy. You may also unsubscribe from marketing and change your analytics choice. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
The commercial and professional services are not directed to children. Do not submit information for a child unless you have lawful authority to do so.
